APPLICATIONS |
||
The ring opening condensation reaction of epoxy groups with carboxyl and anhydride groups shows rare reactive volatiles as substitution reactions. The epoxy ring can be homopolymerized or reacted with amines, phenols or acids which have active hydrogens. Epoxide structure favors hydrogen halide or inorganic halide scavenger. Cyclohexene oxide (epoxycyclohexane) is an useful monomer in polymerization and coating industry. It is used in the synthesis of alicyclic target materials including pesticides, pharmaceuticals, perfumery and dyestuffs. It is used as a monomer in photopolymerizations, with CO, to yield aromatic polycarbonates which has minimum impurities. Cyclohexane structure is important in nature. Cyclohexane family compounds are found in pharmaceuticals, dyes, herbicides, plant growth regulator, plasticizers, rubber chemicals, and other organic compounds. | ||
